Full—
my love weighs as heavy as a shadow,
is as intangible as moonlight in water,
and sings proudly
in a melodious silence.
from a fragrant afternoon romance
to falling into a vast night,
my heart and i
are but distant lovers,
who sing love songs to each other
from across the mountain peaks.
…between our breaths, the world leans in,
and sets the horizon ablaze…
a love-laden sunset
rubies over bountiful groves;
mercurial light
in rhythmic relumes—
simpering winds
whisper our names like mist,
as opaque light dims
and slips into absence.
an armful of napping stars
sway on a crescent moon,
dissolving into harmonies
like the subtle fragrance
of a cherry blossom’s life—
time’s ceaseless progression
without you or i.
what proud stones
will this florae open up for us?
will it echo
with the words
we’ve sown in silence?
we plant words on the moon.
you send secrets through the wind.
i read poems to the clouds
so when the rain comes,
they scatter messages
throughout the land—
over and under
the flourishing wonder.
